| A food for picky eaters Winston has been on Merrick for 6 months or so, he recently ran out and I had a bag of royal canin dental food he won from a contest at his vets office. I started to feed it too him and low and behold, he loves it. Normally he's very finicky and doesn't like to eat much. The pieces have kind of a coating on them, it feels kind of oily, I can feel it on my hands when I touch the food. My guess is he likes this "coating". Now what I don't like about the food is that the pieces are huge! Way bigger than his food needs to be...so I'm left smashing it with a meat hammer before I give it to him...not real fun. So my question is, does anyone know of a food that has a coating on it like This? Or one that smells good to entice picky eaters? I've tried wellness puppy and merrik puppy. He's nearing a year old tho so I can switch to adult food.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I'm pretty sure my vet recommended that same brand for dental help. I bought it a while ago, and I'm giving them out as treats. You're right. They seem to love it even though they're huge. I just think of them like a bone. I give them when I want them to do some chewing to help with their teeth.
