Hi everyone

Wanted to ask if anyone has pet insurance for their babies? If so, any recommendations? Thx!!

I have insurance. I went with Pets Best. They have the option to pay the vet directly if anything happens and I do also have the wellness option.

Each company offers different things and different price points. If you do a search on the site you'll find lots of reviews. I'm pleased thus far with Pets Best.

I do think insurance is worth it if you start with a young animal.

I have Healthy Paws - I like the way they do their deductibles.

I use care credit instead of pet insurance. Online approval and deferred interest per transaction for at least 12 months. I think it was 18 months per transaction for up to 12 months then after that it is each transaction has a 12 month period interest free.

I have Trupanion. Because I insured her at 5 months of age I have no pre-existings. They have been fantastic. Taycie has numerous health issues and they have paid over $7,000 in vet care. After my experience with insurance, I would never have a pet with out it.

I also think Healthy Paws is great too

We use Care Credit or Savings for Emergencies ..
Insurance for 3 dogs & 2 cats is way too expensive for us ..

Vet bills are way more expensive than insurance

I pay $265 a year, can't get cheaper than that. Some people will always want stuff for free though...

Rates have only gone up once in 3 years.

I have Trupanion Breeders Insurance. And btw this also covers accidents, like if your dog gets hurt in a car accident, or in flight.

I have not yet submitted any claim, but my dogs are insured against genetic defects, and cancer treatments etc.
