| Natural Balance Dog Kibble I know that they are now owned by Del Monte but is it still a quality product ? Does anyone use Natural Balance ? Due to finances I may need to find a less expensive kibble and this is one I am looking at just because I like some of the formulas . Thank you |

| I used it for the first 2-3 years with my pups with no problems. I switched to Wellness when I was having a hard time getting the formula of NB I liked at my supplier, and I liked Wellness better. I have tried others such as Nutrisca, and Solid Gold in the last year and have not found any that my dogs do not like, so I am lucky. If Oscar doesn't have any allergies or special dietary needs he will do fine on NB.

I know I've said it several times so excuse me for sounding repetitive but my parents' beagle is on Natural Balance. She's been on it for a good while...both before and after Del Monte. She has a lot of environmental allergies and food sensitivities but has done the best on Natural Balance. We have not noticed a difference in her or the food since NB became a part of Del Monte. I like Science Diet's canned food which Toki has been eating for a few weeks. ...I can always find Hill's around me at a good price and there are coupons out there too. No experience with the SD kibble though. It seems to have a lot more ingredients than the Ideal Balance and Natural Balance formulas and that might be problematic for dogs with sensitivities. Also don't know if you saw this but Hill's recently had a recall on their small/toy breed kibble...just something to be mindful of: Hill's Science Diet Dog Food Recall I still feed Hill's products though (mostly from the Ideal Balance line though with the exception of some SD cans). Overall, Natural Balance would probably be my first choice b/w that and the SD...the grain-free Ideal Balance seems more comparable to the NB but is also pricier. | |

| Del Monte was the owners of one of the chicken jerky that made dogs so sick and killed them for years before they pulled them so personally I would trust them. It sure took them a long time to do anything about the chicken jerky so if something was wrong with the food how long would that take or how many pets would it have to be made sick or die before they did?

| Max ate Natural Balance his first year. Fromm is another relatively economical food choice. We use the Chicken a la veg. The other flavors do not work well for my guys.
