Baby back from the vets, think I'm worrying too much!

Hello everyone!

Well after a horrible night of having to take my baby to the vets after she got a small cut on her ear and having to stay overnight, the torture is over and she's back home safe and sound

I'm not sure if I'm just being too paranoid here but I've noticed a few changes since she's gotten back. The second she got home she was exactly like her normal self, running around everywhere and trying to get cuddles off everyone, but as the day has gone on I've noticed that she's doing a lot more tail biting than she did before. She also chews on her feet more frequently and her poop is a darker colour than before, as well as being more solid. Can anyone shed some light on this or just tell me that I'm being a massive worrier

Im the same way...every little thing that is out of place with my fur babies or kids and my anxiety goes through the roof! Did they give her anything for her cut when she was at the vet? Medication? Shot? Could she have a small allergic reaction from it?

She had her first vaccinations done whilst she was there and she was also sedated while they stitched her ear. She was given painkillers and the vet gave us a course of antibiotics. I think I'm still a bit jolted after having her stay there overnight and picking up on the smallest of things to worry over
Do you know what other symptoms she'd be showing if she was having an allergic reaction?

After reading a paper the vet gave me after my pups had shots it list a couple of things to watch for....such as hives, swollen face, itching, lethargic or being restless, difficulty breathing and so on...I don't think you have anything to worry about though since you have not mentioned anything like that happening other than the biting of the feet. My Leila always bites on her back feet....she is allergic to grass.
As for her poop being darker...that could be caused from the antibiotics she is taking. You should contact your vet and ask let them know if she is still having the same symptoms.

It's been nearly 2 weeks now since she's come back from the vets and I think I was just being a bit too cautious because she's totally fine now! It was a stressful week and her going to the vets so unexpectedly took its toll on me and I went into over-paranoid mummy mode She's finished her course of antibiotics today and we're just waiting for her stitches to dissolve.
