I'll be honest. Stewie looks like a dirty little mutt that isn't taken care of. I've been giving him ear drops for his ear infection and massaging his ears afterward so they seep in. He still manages to shake some of it out and gets it all over his fur on his head. I want to clean the hair around there and on top of his head, but I am afraid it will make his ear infection worse if I get any water or shampoo in them. Any suggestions? He is really really dirty and smelly even though I bathed him on Tuesday.

You could still bathe him and try to make sure no water gets into his ears. I don't know how rough your Stewie is though when he's taking a bath, our Yoda is pretty calm at bath time now.

Orr you can give him a "cat bath" hehe...use a wet cloth with warm water and a lil bit of white vinegar to kill any smell...

Go buy a bottle of a Waterless Bath Shampoo. It is perfect for situations like yours. You just spray it on your baby, and rub it in with a towel. No rinsing. And it works well. I use it on Bounce when he accidently hits his leg while peeing

lol, so it works WONDEFULLY for getting nasty smells out.

When Gracie had an ear infection, the vet advised using cotton balls in the ears when bathing to prevent water from entering, I also was given an antibiotic ointment to use twice a day and an ear wash solution to use once a day that contained a drying agent.................Gracie hated the whole experience, she had the infection at about 12 weeks of age..............once her ears came up NO more problems,,,,whew!!!
