| Flea Treatment So I searched the threads before I started posting and most of the flea threads are really old. So I need advice on what kind of flea treatment to use on Silver. We've only tried Revolution and it wasn't to effective so we've just been doing Capstars and they are not doing ANYTHING anymore. The vet talked us into trying Comfortis a couple of weeks ago and it has gotten rid of all of her fleas. I really like it but I haven't heard to much about it and I know a few people around where I live with dogs don't really like pill form flea treatments. So any advice on good flea treatments or if the Comfortis is good would be greatly appreciated!

With Capstar it only works for 24-48 hours only, so you would have to give it to them about every other day.

| I had Huey on Comfortis alone and was giving him his heartworm pill, too. I did that for a couple of years, and then there was Trifexis! Cheaper than buying 2 pills and Huey has had absolutely no side effects from the meds. Same two meds he was on, but I used to give them a week apart. Now he gets them together with no adverse eeffects. He doesn't get outside in the grass a lot, but he does occasionally and I have never, ever seen a flea on him in 4 years.

| Then I may stick to the Comfortis since it works and I know someone else is using it also. I'm going to ask the vet about the Trifexis. Thanks for the feedback

| Love Trifexis. We use it on Chewbacca and we live in a huge flea area. And we have sand fleas at the beach and he never gets them |

| I also use Dawn when there's a flea infestation. Dawn is gentle but I don't think I would use it alone ALL the time. There are some people that use that mixed with water and ACV to make their own shampoo and their dogs' skin isn't dry.

| We use Comfortis for fleas and have never had a problem with fleas. Been using it three years now. I don't like the topical stuff. It leaves them so greasy and wasn't working for us anymore anyway. I am very happy with the Comfortis. |

| not that I noticed. I have used conditioner a few times after the dawn. I even use it on my own hair sometimes when I feel like there is buildup and gunk in my hair. it makes it squeaky clean. It also gets Baby really clean too. I do wash her hair about 2 or 3 times a month with dawn. If I have to bathe her more than that I use her oatmeal shampoo. |
