| Found little pieces of sharp bones in kibble. I am feeding Natures Variety instinct duck and turkey with raw boost. When I give food to Sheldon I squeeze the raw boost between my fingers that way he doesn't pick just the raw boost. Well, while I was getting his food ready ( 1/4 cup) in his bowl I noticed something sharp between with fingers then I looked closely and I saw bigger piece of what I am pretty sure is bones. Is this normal? I didn't give the food to him, thank God I had a little bit of Fromm left so he ate that. Thanks so much! |

| I would contact natures variety or the store you bought it from. Hopefully they will do something for you.

| Yikes! They've been having some issues lately it seems. They voluntarily recalled for a funky smell, but there's been other people complaining about a weird smell in their other formulas as well.

| Thanks everyone. I posted on their Facebook page and emailed them. One of my fb friend said raw boost has bones, as long that they are not cooked they should be if e. I'll keep you posted. I bought it at petco, they are really good about returns. Thanks again! |

| Was it hard? Was it sharp? Some foods have some larger white pieces of ligaments and other connective tissue that are added to give strength to the animals connective tissue. I have seen it in various foods and when I have felt it the white pieces are soft and pliable. If they were hard and sharp I would contact the company. |

| Put the pieces next to a dime or something for size reference...if it has something to do with that filter thingie Ann was referring to, they will be able to see right away if they have a way to judge the size compared to a dime.... |

| Oh my. What is going on with these foods? Sigh.... So glad your baby didn't get hurt by this. Hopefully they will respond and give you some answers.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yes, it is. But they use a filter to ensure that only certain sizes are let through to the food. Pieces larger than that should stay in their filter.

| Have not heard back from them yet which is odd because they are pretty good about responding though. I also left a comment on their fb page, no answer still. The biggest bone is about 1/4 inch with sharp edges. Wish I could post a pic from my iPad. |
