My furkids Donating Member | Holistic Select anyone here every hear of this kibble? It is made by the same company that makes Wellness Brand dog foods. My Mom feeds it to her little girl. The kibble for small breeds is VERY small. I believe my little man is at his full size. He will be 1 yr old in 3 days and he is only 4 lbs. I am feeding merricks grammies pot pie right now which all 3 of them love but, the kibble seems to big for him...was thinking of switching over to Holistic Select...I tried to find the ratings on it and couldn't ...could use some yt help with this one! Thank you peeps! Brenda

| This is a review I found. Not sure how accurate the information is but I know some others use the site. Holistic Select Dog Food | Review and Rating

| I have heard of it but not used it. Is it possible for you to contact the company and request samples? Good luck!

| The breeder I got my Yoshi from gave him Holistic Select. I bought a bag when I first brought him home. Honestly, it smelled so bad that I switched his food the very next day. I think that one of the first few ingredients is anchovy. Not to say that it's not a good food...I just couldn't take the smell. Holistic Select recently changed their name. It used to be called Eagle Pack.

| I forgot...yes, the kibble is tiny. Another tiny kibble is Solid Gold's Just a Wee Bit. That's what I switched to. Holistic Select is just a teeny bit smaller than Solid Gold.

ETA, we feed Uni this exact one, the anchovy, salmon one. She needs omegas and can't take lamb, and we try to stay away from chicken. She loves this, and I can't say it smells any worse than any other kibble. Plus the fish is ethoxiquin free. It's a good food and a good price. Last edited by capt_noonie; 07-24-2012 at 09:01 PM. | |

| Oh also forgot since Uni has pancreatitis, this food had the lowest fat content I found other than Honest Kitchen Preference. |

My furkids Donating Member | the furbutts just got off meds for giardia and bacteria in their bellies. I think I am going to wait a while, till they are 100% back to normal (poop) then get some from my Mom and try it out. I'm SURE it's going to effect their bowels until they get used to it...even if I mix it...They do like it...when Mom doggy sits they try to eat Callies food....Just hoping it doesn't upset their bellies

| Could be! I did notice that EP and HS were placed next to each other in my feed store. And that HS is fairly new, and I don't really know many other places that sell it. I chose it bc I liked the ingredient list and the lower fat content. I didn't notice if Uni got healthier or not on it. Her eyes are still watery like always, and she was still really itchy until we got her on some meds. So I think her itchies are from the environment and not food.
