| How can I get my yorkie to take his liquid medicine I mostly lurk here so I'm hoping I'm posting in the right place . I'm taking my little yorkie who is about 1 1/2 years old to get neutered next week. He was a gift to me and my family from a previous home/shelter. Anyways the vet recommended I give him some liquid medicine but he refuses to take it- The vet said I have to administer this one to him and shouldn't mix in with food/water- he's being so stubborn- it took me 30 mins to somehow get half of it in- any ideas on how I can do it? I'm also extremely nervous about the neutering wondering how he will adapt and if he will be in a lot of pain- the pain scares me the most- |

| My method is to just use a syringe and shoot it into the back of their throats. Quick and painless!

| If you tilt the head back and squirt it into his mouth it will fall toward the back of the throat. Hold his mouth closed afterward and he will swallow. Works like a charm for me. Just wondering....is this a wormer?
