| Pet Insurance Can anyone here give some recommendation for a good and also reasonably priced pet insurance for a puppy? I have a care credit card but I would like to reserve that my children and Kirby (who does not have pet insurance any longer). |

| I have been doing some research and I am starting to think it would be better just to put the amount of the premimums in a savings fund. My vet is very reasonable. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I have PetPlan and I love it. Previously, I just didn't think pet ins was that great. Then I got ins for Pfeiffer when I got her as a pup. I love it. I will have all future pets on Ins. Here is a thread to read: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...rifaj-dvm.html

| I really like Embrace Pet Insurance. It's easy to get a quote from them on their website, and they are not a hassle to deal with. You deal with Embrace employees in one office. Even the CEO will talk to you. If you go with them, then have your vet(s) send any and all medical notes and information on your dog even if it was just for a vaccine or a general checkup. This way they will have everything up front and when you send for a reimbursement all you need to send in is a one page claim form (vet fills most of it out), receipts, and to have your vet send in any notes and information on whatever you're getting a reimbursement on. They are very fast as long as you already have everything with them, and they will get back to you really quick if anything is missing to speed up your claim. |

| I have healthy paws. I'm SO glad I got insurance because Sophia has had a ton of problems, even though she's only 9 months. They have varying coverage options. So you can change your yearly deductible and percent reimbursment in order to get a monthly charge that you're comfortable paying. It's already paid for itself

| I use PetPlan in the first year of coverage I had over $4000 in vet bills they were prompt about payment. Remember it is better to get insurance before you find a problem. If a problem has all ready been diagnosed by the Vet it is a preexisting coverage. Also regardless if you have insurance or not it is wise to have an emergency fund as you will have to pay for the ER or Vet visit up front and be reimbursed later.
