| Fruits, Veggies, Cheerios? Gross! Do I have the only dog in the world who won't eat the things every one always recommends as snacks??? LoL. Jackson is a total meat-eater. He won't touch any fruits or veggies. I've tried everything and he gives me this look of TOTAL disgust and how DARE could I even think he would wanna eat that?? The only way he will eat some green beans is if they are mixed in his dry/wet food really good (or he will spit them out) or if they had been soaking in meat or something we were cooking. Otherwise, all fruits and veggies are out! Which doesn't really bother me, I don't believe he needs them in his diet or anything... Cheerios are iffy- some nights I will snack on them in bed and he will munch on a few with me, but 98% of the time he won't take one. Dog treats, too, he won't eat anything crunchy. Even Zuke's and grainy treats he tends to turn his nose up at. The only treats I can get him to consistantly love are Canz Real Meat treats (which are basically all meat, 95%, hardly any other ingredients), and things of the sorts that are one ingredient treats, freeze dried, soft, or mostly meat. Just wanted to see if I had the only crazy dog

| Jackson's not crazy...he just knows what he likes! ZoE will eat all the things you mentioned....then again she's never turned her nose up at any food. But if I hold meat in one hand and veggie/fruit in the other...she goes for the meat every time!

| Have you tried giving them to him in situations with other dogs.... sometimes a little competition helps ... Peek a Boo didn't care for them either, until he saw the girls making pigs of themselves and he decided he wanted in on the goods! I must say he still looks at me weird though, lol!

| Max and Teddy do not like apples or any other fruit. They turn up their noses at Cheerios and don't really care for any dry, crunchy treat. They like meat the most -- boiled chicken. Parmesan cheese will get them going too. They also like sweet potato, baby sweet peas, and a little lettuce.

Jackson is picky in general. Most dogs would go grab a dropped potato chip on the floor, right? Nope, not Jackson, anything made with potatoes (french fries, chips, etc) he will not touch (which is a good thing, so I don't care, lol). If he sees the other dog eat one, he will generally grab it real quick to "steal" it from them and then goes into another room and spits it out

Mine are weird... usually if Mommie is eating it, they want it and will at least have a taste. Sometimes I'll make Peek do a trick for a reward, and try to slip him a new food. Sometimes that doesn't work either. Then I stored a bunch of the Gerber Puffs in with a smokey flavored treat for a week, that got them used to the crunch bc the smokey flavor permeates everything, so they ate them right away without thinking about it first.

| Rosie has always been a picky eater too. I never tried veggies or Cheerios with her. But she will not hardly eat any dog treats at all. However, there is one fruit she really likes. It is pineapple. I would give her one piece every few months. She eats it like it is the best stuff ever! I was surprised!

| Nope, he's not the only one. Mine might eat a cheerio depending on the day or how they are feeling but you can tell it's not a super treat. I actually find that their favorite things are cheaper and healthier than any purchased treat. I either boil up chicken or liver and they would jump through hoops for those treats. |

| Lucy loves all those things and Ringo just gets this incredulous look on his face. Wha aa? Is that? You expect me to eat that?? Occasionally he will ~ only to prevent Lucy from having something he doesn't.

| Brit, I think you have Jackson conditioned, remember you used to give him hot dog (I think you said that). I'm sure he's just holding out for the "good stuff" salted and fatty. Does he like anything sweet? Uni loves watermelon, sweet potato, mango, tangerine. Since she's been spayed she'll eat anything we give her now, thank god, but even before, she loved watermelon. Hated apples, now loves it, found out she likes only certain types of apple (like fuji and not red delicious) and not the skin.

| Mine love all fruits and veggies, thankfully, they are quite necessary in my kiddos diet, they love them fresh or frozen but will eat the baby food variety as well if I am in a pinch.

Yep, he's had hot dog before, per the trainers request at agility class. He likes them but he's actually not that big on them. Cheese is his absolute fav.

| I think most pups are finicky, no? Uni wouldn't take most stuff when she was a puppy. I haven't ever tired cheerios with her, but then again Uni likes grains and potato heh hehe. Cheese is a favorite around here too what kind do you give? I only give her low fat string cheese. The regular kind makes her poop soft if we give her too much.

| Levi will eat anything and everything. His absolute favorites are carrots, green beans, watermelon, celery, blueberries, and apples. And, of course, he loves any kind of meat we'll let him have. He used to snub biscuit-like treats...but he'll scarf those down now too. He has completely morphed into the world's most un-picky dog. While we're on the subjects of Jackson's picky eating habits, I still can't get over the fact that he doesn't like peanut butter!
