| wheat germ oil Has anyone tried wheat germ oil for a shiny coat? When I was a kid, we had a black cocker spaniel. My mother gave her wheat germ oil and she had a beautiful, shiny coat. My granddaughter's Yorkie, Samantha, who is staying with me for a while, had a dull coat. I have changed her food (from Beneful to Taste of the Wild) and have started giving her wheat germ oil, 3 or 4 drops a day. I can tell a difference in her coat in just a month. My son bathes her with Dawn to deter fleas. She is on Advantage Multi, so that isn't necessary. I bathed her with baby shampoo. I also brush her a lot, try to every day. I give my dogs fish oil every other day or so. Samantha had been getting fish oil along, but seemed to need something more. Jeanette |
