Canidae pureLand? Hi Everyone - I have been trying to find a food that helps with Bentley's loose stools for some time. He had been on Wellness small breed and then on Blue Buffalo. The Blue Buffalo helped - but not 100 percent. I went to a specialty pet supply store and they suggested Canidae pure Land bison and lamb formula. It actually worked wonders and his stools have been normal since the switch. But - unfortunately, that food is really expensive ($65 for a 30-lb bag). We will keep getting it if that is the only thing that will help him... but I am wondering if anyone happens to have suggestions for a similar grain-free food that is not quite as pricey? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

| I had never seen that version of Canidae- thanks for introducing me! hehe. I might try it out, only because I rotate foods and like to change things up a bit. Jackson currently does very well on Acana, so does my friends dog Bandit, who is about 4lbs and always had a sensitive stomach. Acana has a Grasslands formula which is lamb-based, but they also have Ranchlands, Prairie and Pacifica.

I have a wheaten terrier that had a consistent loose problem- since she has been on Taste of the wild, pacific stream formula she has not had a single bout. well over 6 months! (The canadae grain free was great too but Ziva did not like it)

Hmm - I am not sure what to compare them to. They are round..maybe half the size of a dime?? They are bigger than the kibble in Wellness Small Breed and I believe in Blue Buffalo small breed as well. But they are not huge. The gal at the pet store said my little guy would do fine with them (and he has)... but he is about 11 pounds - so a bit on the bigger side. Hope that helps.

Ha! Well - so far, I would recommend it especially if loose stools are a problem... I just wish it wasn't so dang expensive ...I will see if I can find something comparable but a little less costly...but for now it is doing the trick..!!
