| I would definitely go with the GO!!!!!!! NB doesn't have enough meat in it IMHO!!!! in NB's ingredients, duck is not even the 1st ingredient. I've heard good things about both. Good luck!! Viv

Just by looking at the ingredients I think the GO! looks the best. Duck is listed first on the ingredient list, and you want to see the protein listed first. I currently have Taycie on Pinnacle Duck and Potato. She has an extremly sensitve stomach. It is also a very similar version of both. I went with it because Duck was also listed first. Alot of the allergy formulas are so in low in protein I wanted to make sure the protein was listed first. PinnacleŽ - Duck & Potato Premium Dry Dog Food I know alot of people have had really good success with NB as well. I have been looking at some of their other formulas to rotate into her diet. Their Potato and Duck formula is also considered grain free, which may also be benifical to you, while GO! is not, since it has oatmeal. Oatmeal is also in Taycie's but it doesn't seem to bother her. I know alot of people have had wonderful success using either one.. based on contents, I like Go! the best.

| Thanks. The allergy pills don't seem to be having any effect so I am going to try a duck limited ingredient diet. The Go! Duck looks best to me too. Duck Meal is the first ingredient not potatoes. Also it has the healthy digestive enzymes like yogurt has added to it.

| Having a hard time finding the Go! Duck so maybe I'll try the NB Potato and Duck first. I can get that a Petco.

| I LOVE NB. You can see I have been singing its praises on many many threads now I would go with the NB because it is grain free, but that is just me. That is why I went with it for my cat, Suki, who has food allergies. She cannot have grains. It all depends on what your pup is allergic to though. If you want the higher protein you could always try the Go! and if they are still itching go to the NB for the grain free to see if that works. I personally love NB. I feed the LID to both my cat and my pup (Rylie). Rylie does not have allergies, but I feed her the NB potato and duck anyway. It is a high quality food and I have to make sure Suki would be okay if she got into it. In addition, I am against a high protein diet for Yorkies due to the fact my Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies book said that the protein content should not be too high. Now I know many members here disagree with that and their pups seem to do great on higher protein diets, but I personally did not feel comfortable going against those protein guidelines after reading from multiple sources that I shouldn't. It is up to each individual though! I say as long as your pup is healthy and does well on it, then it is a good food. |
