| Welcome to YT! How old is your dog and what brand kibble do you currently feed? As a general rule, it is not good to keep switching your pups food, it can be hard on their system; but of course I also know that yorkies tend to be very picky and it can be hard to find a food that they like.

| It seemed like it took forever to find a food for TicTac that was okay with the vet, and she would eat. We have settled on 2 tblsps of Pedigree ground chicken and rice (canned) for breakfast, and all day access to Beniful small kibble. While it's not generally good to mix brands, she is thriving on it. I am starting to introduce her to Hills by slowly substituting it into her canned food due to concerns over fat content. So far so good. But no food will work if she won't eat it. Good luck!

| My yorkie likes Fromm 4 star food. Specifically the chicken & veg and duck & sweet potatoe version. I had to try a lottttttt of different foods to figure out which one she liked. I was always able to return the dog food that she didn't like. I'm not sure if you have Global Pets Food around where you live, but you can check that place out. |

| Calliope is so picky, when I got her from her previous owner 2 months ago she was eating science diet. Then I switched her to royal canine by doing 1/2 science diet 1/2 royal canine for yorkies but she would only eat the royal canine kibble n wouldn't touch the science diet kibble anymore. Then she would turn away the royal canine. We have tried innova for small dogs which she's ok with but she loves nature's variety instinct raw. I guess it depends on the age of your yorkie and what suits your dogs palate. Sorry for the long post.

| I have 2 very picky eaters...we have tried SOOOOO many different kinds of foods..The best advice I can offer is start out feeding her PREMIUM dog food...any commercial foods you can buy at grocery stores..walmart etc...are poor quality..most are 2 star out of 5 star foods....full of fillers...and hardly any nutrition.. If you have a Grain and Feed store they offer free samples of some premium foods..and many pet specialty shops offer free samples...I would start there... I wish I could recommend a brand...but I"m CONSTANTLY looking for a new food to feed them...they like it for only a short time..then I have to try something else.. Here's a rating guide to let you know how the food you are feeding or thinking of feeding rates. 1 star is POOR 5 stars PREMIUM... I'm feeding Evo/The great life which they seem to like...for now Others here on yt rave about Blue buffalo, wellness and taste of the wild. Dog Food Reviews | Dog Food Ratings Good luck!

| Thank you for the link. Mine are currently on Avoderm small bites. It seems to be a good food and they eat it fine. However the other day I got a coupon for buy a bag and get a bag free on Canidae All Life Stages. Trying to decide if I want to give the coupon away or use it. I have heard people say some really great things about Canidae on here |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Lily is almost 5 months old. She eats royal canin dry food and stella and chewys chicken patties. I feel like she gets bored of her food. When i first got her we gave her innova, then merricks, then weruva, halo, iams, and cesar. After about a week or two she wont eat it anymore. |

| I'm doing Blue Buffalo Wilderness Series, Chicken. Just starting to slowly incorporate it with the food that my adopting foster parent gave me. He seems to like it very very much. Last edited by islstl; 02-28-2011 at 07:01 PM. |

| Joey has been on Royal Canine Skin and Stone pretty much since he has been on adult food apx 1.5 years. He does get pickey and doesn't want to eat, so I add between a teaspoon to a tablespoon of canned Royal Canine, chicken, or 1/2 slice of deli ham or turkey and sometimes if I have nothing else 1/4 of a hot dog..all sliced very small and mix it throughout the kibbles....He will usually eat about 1/4 cup of kibbles with it but I give him close to 1/2 cup, he does not go back to his food bowl after he eats so I just leave it out...His favorite is the deli ham..how these little stinkers know one package from the other beats me...He will stand and bark while I shread the ham, but not the turkey,,,,and he loves the hot dog but he only gets it about once a month if that..I am not so sure it is very good at all for him...If someone on here knows for sure, please let me know... |

YT 2000 Club Member | We have tried so many different dog food brands that it made my dogs picky. I have two sensitive dogs that can only eat certian things and the same two also cant tolerate a higher protein diet so that really limits what foods they can have. Anyways, right now my dogs are on Natures Varitey, thier prairie line (lamb flavor) and they love it and are doing so well on it. I highly recommend that if you choose to switch your dogs food get a couple of samples first from the companys that seem like your dog will eat before you buy bigger bags. Once you find something he/she likes and does well on it, dont change it.. it will only make your dog picky! Good Luck..
