| My baby is sick.. Diarrhea and vomit Hi, it's Anne again asking what to do with my poor zoey. Well I decided to jeep her after I found out of her stage 4 heart murmur and she is being doing fun with that, but this week it has just been a lil crazy. On Monday i took her to the vet for a vaccine on the way she vomited twice and it was like food and plastic so I thought it was because of the plastic as well as the doctor, that afternoon I notice her poop was a lil smushi not hard like usual and I thought it was probably the vaccine or all the food she is been eating of the floor the next days she did fine and ate fine, sometimes a like smushi nut I thought it is normal or maybe because I changed her food on Tuesday, she acted normal and played fine. Today Saturday, well yesterday, I got home from work around 9 pm and found my room full of poop it was like diarrhea it had a horrible smell, but I did not know if it was because of the Gerber I giver mix with her food, so I called the vet and told him what was going on he said to take her asap which I will, and told me to give her pepto or something to stop the diarrhea and I did also bought her some pedialyte which I has to forcefully give it to her she did not wanted to take it. Well she stop with the diarrhea but like at 2.00 am I heard she was vomiting when I woke up to see what was going on she had vomit water or the pedialyte. There has not been diarrhea since earlier but am still very worry. Could this be parvovirus?? I really hope not.... Any advice of what should I give her ?? Thank you |

| Diarrhea & vomiting is usually serious & YES it could be Parvo. I would get her to a vet ASAP & I would not wait till morning, she needs to go to an ER. Also you said she ate plastic? If so she could have a tear in her intestine somewhere or a blockage. Did you mean like plastic wrap or some kind of hard plastic ? Praying your baby will be ok, Please update after her vet visit. | Do you have any idea what it was that it was that she ate that was PLASTIC? any foreign bodies that they ingest can KILL them if there is a blockage! Please take her to the vet ASAP! I just re read and she has been vomiting on and off since Monday? When you found the plastic? This could be very dangerous to a small pup! Did you mention the plastic to the vet when she was there for her vacs?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | She needs to see an Emergency Vet! If it is Parvo she needs a vet ASAP. Parvo can take these little ones quick. Did you mention to your vet about the plastic? That worries me I hope you are able to take her in. At this point I wouldn't be using anymore at home remedies. This sounds very serious.

| The best advice is to get her to the vet asap. There are many things it could be, only a vet can determine exactly what it is. |

| we had a 6mth old with chronic liquid diarrhea, really bad, went to our local health store for animals and he told us to get canned food for older dogs, mix in pure pumpkin and sprinkle with dry oatmeal, within 24 hours his stools were firm and have been ever since. believe me it worked because my dog went limp a few times from diarrhea. also recommended if it didnt work as well you can add egg also. we are very happy with results |
