| Need Help ... Hi My yorkie had puppies about 6 weeks ago - and I found out last week that I should be weaming the babies off of mom's milk. The problem is that mom continues to want to feed them!!! Even with sore nipples from their teeth. So I was suggested to separate them for a few days to let mom's milk dry up before putting them back in with her. So they can eat the puppy food and not go to her for food. THE PROBLEM IS: How long does it take to have mom's milk dry up? Is it like a normal human's - a couple days. Or is it longer. Plus - I had to separate them cuz mom was wanting to eat there puppy food. It's so hard - what do i do? Please help - this is serious. I don't want these baby's drinking milk their WHOLE lives. LOL - joke. Katie |
