| Fleas out of control in LA I live in West LA in a dog friendly neighborhood. There are tons of dogs over here mostly from apartment homes. I have noticed after I walk my dogs, sometimes I find a flea on them. I use the drops religiously and keep very clean inside my apartment. The neighborhood is infested! What can I do to stop the fleas from getting in? |

| Sprinkle food grade diatomaceous earth http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/defaq.htmlright outside your front door, and around the baseboards inside. Mix 8oz. distilled water, 6 drops teatree oil and 6 drops of lavender or eucalyptus oil. Put in a spray bottle, shake well before each use. Mist them right before taking them for walks. Another way to keep fleas off is with a final rinse after a bath with a mixture of 3 tablespoon of BRAGG organic apple cider vinegar in two cups of distilled water. Just slowly pour at the base of the ears all the way down the back and on to and around the tail. Do not rinse, just towel dry. | Fleas????? You can buy the Braggs apple cider vinegar at just about any Sprouts or Henrys grocery store, the natural foods type store generally. I have not used it but it sounds like a good alternative to one of the chemical sprays. Question, I have been using a advantix k9 which was recommended by my vet, but am now out. Vet said to use it Apl thru Oct, start up again next year. Is this OK here is So Cal with it being no cold weather to kill off fleas etc? What about the heart worm stuff? I HATE the chemicals into my baby but I am so worried about the BUGS etc. Thanks for the info.
