| Feeding recommendations for Orijen Just started the pups on Orijen 6 fish. They love it. My concern is how much to feed. Primal raw we fed Sadie 3 medallions per day and Bentley 5. Each medallion has 1 ounce. I thought we'd start them out at 1/2 cup per day for Sadie and 1 c. per day for Bentley....does that sound even or way too much or way too little?? Sadie is 5.0 lbs and would eat 1/4 twice daily Bentley is 8.0 lbs and would eat 1/2 cup twice daily. What do you think??? i want healthy weight dogs and to maintain their weights now. Thanks, |

| That sounds like a lot! Franklin and Maggie are 11 and 9lbs and they both get about 1/4 cup twice a day, 1/2 cup total. They are a perfect weight, according to their vet. Every dog is different though so once you start feeding them, you can adjust accordingly! ETA: I just noticed you also feed more raw than we do - when we give medallions we usually only give 4-4.5 medallions a day, per dog. If you are feeding Bentley 5 medallions and he's good weight-wise, he might need more kibble.

| Ziva weighs just over 6 lbs and does not finish 1/3 c a day kibble (+greenbeans, 1 Tbsp meat and 1-2 tsp of cottage cheese.) My 35 lb wheaten only eats 1/2 c twice a day. |

| Jackson is a healthy, active, 15'lber and he eats 1/2 cup total per day of both Acana and Orijen. 1/4 cup in the AM, 1/4 cup in the PM. He also gets a little wet food mixed in. If he is extremely active for the day, I may up it to 3/4 cup but he rarely wants to eat that much. Acana and Orijen are very calorie dense so less food is necessary.

| Levi is about 5.5 pounds, super active, and according to his vet healthy and at a healthy weight. I mostly free-feed, putting 1/2 cup of Orijen in his bowl in the morning. Some days, if he has been especially busy/active, he eats the whole portion; other days he will only eat about 1/4 cup for the day. If there are other dogs around, if we are traveling, etc. - I give him about 1/8 cup three times a day. He rarely eats 1/8 cup at a time, so these days he probably around 1/4 cup as well.
