| Piper had a vet visit today She weighs 3 pounds 2 ounces (4 months old). She got her shots and her anal glads expressed ewwww!!!! She did great!! I also took my grandmothers yorkie Gracie in for her. She weighs 5 pounds 4 ounces (8 months old). She also got her shots, but no anal glad issues with her! LOL!! They both were so good and traveled in their bags unhappily. I had both my kids with me too (4 1/2 years and almost 3 years). The entire office commented on how good all four of them were. Now, here is where it gets tricky. I want to go ahead and make the appt to have Gracie spayed. Piper will be done in a couple of months. BUT My grandparents were raised in a different era and think the $160-$200 is too much for a spay. In their words "We aren't going to let her get out anyway." I would offer to pay for it but that would upset my grandfather. I hope I can convince them....

| Yikes You are in a tough spot. I guess just remind them about not having to deal with "heat" issues. Good luck and God Bless! |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Maybe get a few quotes from different vets and show them to your grandparents. That way they will see that its just how much it costs I also heard somewhere that there are some benefits to getting your female spayed, you could search this and print it off to pursuade them.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Unspayed females are at great risk of developing mammary cancer. This risk is virtually reduced to zero if the dog is spayed before her first heat.
