| Sardines? Are sardines ok to give to dogs or is it not a good idea? My dh had some the other day and they went nuts with just the smell but I didn't let him give them any then until I actually found out if they are ok to have. |

| Since I home cook for my dogs, they do eat sardines once in awhile without any problems with upset tummy. Some dogs do fine while others have a problem. Try just a dime size once a day for about three days then wait a few days for any reaction.

| Sardines are an important ingredient in our homemade meals. i dont always include them due to the overwhelming odor - so i often use fish oil to replace them. yes they are good - in moderation of course.

| Sardines I have not tried them on Maggie but my minature Schnauzer loves them. I mix them in his kibble. They have never caused a problem. |
