| Pet insurance help Hello all who read my post. I was wondering if anyone uses pet insurance, if so I was wondering if you could spare some advice. Every web sites states they are the number 1 pet insurance. If you use pet insurance can you recommend a good company to use. I have bin looking at pet plan and vpi. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I had a scare over the weekend with max my little guy and took a big hit in.the pocket. I will spend what is need to care for max but if I can get insurance reimbursment that would help. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome. I have VPI and they are good for emergency vet care if it's not genetic in nature, hereditary or pre existing. Unfortunately my Cali had liver shunt issues as a puppy and they wouldn't cover it. Now my Pixie just had 2600.00 LP surgery and they won't cover that either. They have covered other expenses like Cali's HGE, Pixie's er visit for a reaction to fertilizer and again for a reaction after getting into a silca pack. If I was just starting to look for insurance for mine I would try and find one that covers hereditary and pre existing illnesses. Hopefully someone on here will know which ones do. Sorry your little one was sick over the weekend and hope he is doing better.
