Black Dots on Tummy - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Has anyone ever noticed little black dots in a group on their yorkies belly or near the genital area? Bella has small patches of these around her stomach and genital area, and I have read a few different things of what they could be. But I havent been able to narrow it down. Has anyone else experience this or know what could be the cause?

Benson has a few. The vet has never said anything about them. So I'm not worried.

If there is any other rash or redness in the area, it could be a staph or other skin infection. If only black pinprick size dots - could be flea dirt. Can you post a picture?

Someone asked this before, and it turned out they were their nipples, both boys and girls have them and they look like little beauty marks. Are they symmetrical in placement? I think they have around 6 or 8.

Hard to know what it is without a picture-it could be staph, fleas, dirt, nipples or who knows what! lol.

I agree with Nancy, Pasquale has them. I call them his Man nipples!

Since you noted on another thread that you are having a problem with fleas, its most likely flea dirt.

LMAO nipples? no I see her nipples, those are more of a skin tone color and slightly elevated off the skin. LOL. I will take a picture, and I did read something about flea dirt, but I have tried to clean it and it doesnt go away. So I will take a picture of it. Someone had mentioned to look for some other sores or spots, and after I went back and looked and one area on her tummy has a little circle spot that I have never seen before. I will see if I can get that in the picture to. So now I have to ask, did somebody honestly question what the nipples were on here? Thank you guys for all your help! Yall are so great!
