| car sick I did not take Merlin in the car a lot until he got all his shots, just to see the vet. Now I would like to take him more often but he gets car sick every time. Yesterday we sat on our bench swing and he got sick from the rocking! What can I do? |

| My Bogie gets car sick too. I got some good advice from several members here. Don't let your baby eat 2hrs before riding in the car and let them eat gingersnap cookie before riding.. Before I take Bogie riding I give him 1/2 of a small gingersnap cookie. Bogie weighs 7lbs so if your little guy is smaller give him a smaller amount. It has worked wonders for Bogie. Last week we went to a YorkieTalk meetup in our area. It was about 150 miles away and he didn't get sick once, going there or coming back home.

| Great, thanks. I was thinking of ginger but didn't know how and what...lol. He weighs 3lbs 3 ounces. So maybe a quarter cookie? Do they contain sugar? |

| I have a little guy that also gets car sick. I give him 1/2 dramamine an hour before we get in the car and he no longer gets sick. I don't know if it's the dramamine or that he's getting used to riding in the car (and whenever we take him in the car to go to the country, it's a two hour ride.) The first 1 1/2 hours of the ride is strictly highway and he would do great. Once we got to the winding roads and hills, that's when he would get sick. He no longer gets sick. I'm not going to stop the dramamine just yet. He may be getting used to riding in the car but for now, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! I was only giving him 1/4 tablet but that didn't work so I called the vet and she said since he's 10 lbs. I could try giving him 1/2 tablet. That seemed to do the trick. No more puking!! Toby HATES ginger snap cookies. I tried that too but it's like he knew what I was giving it for. LOL Good luck and don't give up.
