| UTI and Clavamox Hello - My Sophie, 10 yrs old, has a UTI and is on Clavamox. It worked immediately after the first dose - no accidents for four days. Then on day five, and today, day six, we are back to finding accidents. Will call the vet tomorrow morning but was curious if any of you have not had success with Clavamox. I thank you, and Sophie thanks you |

| A different antibiotic may be needed, but it could also be something else b/c the antibiotic isn't working totally. You may be looking at an xray and/or ultrasound...

| Sometimes it takes several rounds of various antibiotics to get rid of an infection. I would call your vet and take your dog back in to re-evaluate. |

| UTI and Clavamox Called the vet this morning and she is putting Sophie on a different antibiotic for 10 days. Hoping this will work. Sophie doesn't seem to be having any discomfort. The only indicator we had about this was accidents in the house - about one a day. Thanks everyone! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I know when the pom puppy I was fostering got a UTI after her spay the shelter but her on Clavimox after a quick urine test. Then they were culturing it to see if a different antibiotic was needed due to certain bacteria's. If so they would have given her a different medicine. So I am glad you have a new antibiotic to try.
