| They can, if they want to...The term is from year to year...When I signed Apple up, it was $17 and some change for the bronze program I selected...However, when I signed Buzz up, it was $19 and some change, because they said they'd changed underwriters, and the new one was better...Bottom line, is they can do whatever they feel necessary...I don't know where the "cap" is, but I know I'll be paying $19 something, when Apple's first year is up...Praise God, I've never had to file on it, but from my research, it seems they do pretty well at coming through w/the payments, if you do have to file, and they do cover genetic issues, as long as they don't have them at the time of induction of the policy... |

| I called trupanion and they CLAIM the rates don't go up each year. I was going to get petplan, but now idk?? |

| After my first year with petplan, they increased the premium by over 50%, which is just ridiculous really, with no claims, and a year-old dog. It's up for renewal again soon, so let's see how much more they're gonna whack on this time :S |
