| Proden Plaque Off or any good dental spray? Hi All, One of my poor yorkie has tooth abscess on a tooth. We didn't notice it until she has a open wound under her eye. She just had her tooth cleaning at the vet about half a year ago (she already have some plaque on some of her tooth).. I'm very worried so I want to find a (or a couple) good product for my yorkies... I read some member mentioned that Plaque Off works. However, my dogs eats throughout the day and they will eat at each other's bowl, so it's hard for me to make sure that they will all have enough amount of plaque off daily. So do you think I can just put enough amount in to their mouth directly? If not, is there any good dental spray that I can use? I can not use tooth brush because they will not let me.. Thank you very much! |

| To be honest with you, I would probably tell you that your dog may need another dental cleaning. When all that plaque builds up on their teeth, it isn't going to come off just by brushing or using anything. I do know that they have a doggie mouth wash, that you just add to their drinking water. I would really tell you to consult with your vet....Teeth issues stink! Good Luck

| CET has a dental rinse. I wouldn't use their water additive. OraVet is excellent. Brushing is important. So the teeth were cleaned half a year ago and the abscess just appeared? Did the vet mention any periodontal disease when they were cleaned last? Were dental xrays taken then?

| Entirelypets.com or through some vets. Generally the first app is done under anesthesia, so if you would like that done, ask your vet about it. It should help prevent tartar.
