| Bella has fleas So Bella's been itching ALOT lately and she's not on any flea medication. I've always used frontline with her but that never seemed to work so i stopped especially because she only goes outside to potty. Last week I gave her a flea bath and found one dead flea. That was it! She continued to itch so today, I combed her for about an hour and found a ton of flea poop (black specks)..but no fleas. I gave her another flea bath and didn't find any floating dead fleas either. I continued to comb her after her bath and found nothing. What is going on? I combed EVERYWHERE! Any suggestions on what to do or what part of her body I should concentrate on (where fleas like to hide)? This is getting really irritating and I might just end up going to Costco to get some frontline plus as well. |

| Try giving Bella a bath in original Dawn dishwashing detergent. It's safe and kills fleas instantly. Murfee gets a Dawn bath every week and then I use a conditioner. Good luck.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | she could be allergic to the flea bites. she'll continue to itch for a while from the bites even if you don't find any live fleas

| I didn't even think of that. Thanks! Regarding the dawn soap...does it have to be the original? We have dawn advance, the kind from costco. |

| I've never tried the other kinds of Dawn....was told to use original so have always used that. The first time I used it, I was so surprised at how many immediately fell off. Good luck.
