| Wow how big! We have had our Yorkshire Terrier for a couple of months now -- with visions of a little dog. Wow, he is big! What age do they stop growing? From: http://www.sadandlonely.com/dog_small.jpg To: http://www.sadandlonely.com/coco.jpg Steve |

| She is adorable holding the puppy too! He changed a bit IMO. His hair cut is very short. Do his ears stay down?

| All are different. The standard for Yorkies is not to exceed 7lbs but that's usually not always the case due to many different factors. Jackson was 5lbs at 9 weeks old, 6lbs at 12 weeks, 8.6lbs at 16 weeks, and stayed at around 12lbs until about 1 year old. Now at 1.5 years old, according to the vets scale, he's 16lbs. I love my big boy!

| I have a Yorkzilla, too. We just have throwbacks to earlier times, when Yorkies were supposed to be sturdy little working dogs that killed rats and other vermin, not delicate and fragile tiny dogs. I'm guessing that mine will top out at 11 or maybe 12 lbs., which is still a small dog. How old is your pup, and how many kgs. does he weigh?

| Miss Mabel is a sturdy little monkey too! Fur doctor weighed her this afternoon and she weighed 5.6 lbs. I am told she will most likely be 10-12 lbs. at full weight. Still a pretty small dog but when you see other yorkies that are 3-4 lbs(or so) 10-12 seems large!

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Over 8 does seem large after being used to seeing the teeny tiny ones out there. We introduced Rhett (12 weeks 4.6 lbs) to Oliver (17 weeks. 3.1 lbs) over the weekend. He just seems enormous in comparison. But I still love my porkie yorkie.

| Wrigley actually had her largest growth spurt from about 12months-16months. We thought she was going to top out at 4lbs-4 1/lbs and was actually under that at almost a year of age and then she grew to her weight now which is almost 6lbs even and she will be 4yrs old in June!

| My boys both stopped growing when they were a bit over a year old, probably around 14 months old. I too would like to know the size of your little one Mine are pretty teeny - 5 lbs 6 oz and 4 lbs...but I would love a big one just the same! I actually used to think they got bigger than mine did, but I couldn't care less, just as long as they are healthy and happy
