Bilbo came to live with me when he was five months old. We are getting ready for a well puppy check, and I'd like to know what to expect. He's had his shots, and was neutered by his previous owner when he was two months old. I know to get some blood work done for heartworm, but what else is normal?

Congratulations on you new puppy. Most of the time they will look him over, temp, ears,eyes, knees a general look and feel around. They usually will draw blood to check for heart worm and I would also bring in a stool sample for them to check also. Good luck with your puppy visit.

I think it's pretty straight forward and the vets know what to do. Bring every previous vet documentation you have so your current vet knows more about your little one's history. I can't think of anything else at the moment.
