| Broken? Not sure if this is in the correct section but i need some help I have a 3 year old adoribal yorkie who is our baby She lives with my mum and had a little accident yesterday. The thing with Tillie is she gets excited and someone came round to see my mum pulled the chair out to sit down Tillie jumped up to the chair as the lady sat down which then Tillie fell back down. Since then she has now started limping she yelped at the time but not since she just hops and now and then puts the leg down but soon lifts it back up. We took her to the vet which in my eyes was a complete waste of 30 quid. The vet said she doesnt know what is wrong she said she felt the knee clicking then 2mins later didnt. Tillie was a little uncomfy when the vet was feeling her back leg. So she told her to rest and gave her an injection and pain killers (at extra cost). Could this just be a sprain or more likely to be broken? She is still jumping up on to tthe bed and sofa as much as we are trying to stop her she doesnt yelp or anything. Any advise would be good.

| Wow, seems like a waste of 30 quid to me as well. I cannot believe that she did not take xrays, especially since she heard a clicking sound! Did she tell you that she could feel any broken bones or anything of value? |

| Sounds like luxating patella to me, but I can't believe the vet wouldn't mention that to you? Maybe time to change vets? |

| Nope she said it could be a small minor break and try rest for 1-2 weeks see how she is, She is a small lil yorkie and has had previous bumps and falls but nothing major just little clumsy. My mum said she didnt fall bad and is a little surprised at Tillies reaction to the fall. She is eating and drinking and has her ears up and looks excited if she was in that much pain would she still do this? She said she could have x-rays in time but will be a bout 300 quid to which is a very high price seein as my mum is disabled and cant work so were praying hard she wont need them. I personaly dont like the vet she seen but unfortunatly she was only one on duty and i couldnt let my lil Tillie suffer. She was orginaly going to be tested for dry eye that yorkies suffer with so from a free test with the nurse has turned into a expensive trip to the vet. Good job she is worth it

She did say yorkies suffer from joint problems which we already knew as this is my 2nd and my mums 5th yorkie But she has pulled the leg up to her body now since yesterday morning it only goes down now and then for about 3 steps. She woke my mum up in the night when she wanted to get off the bed Just hate seeing her like this poor little might. We have recently (2years) changed to this vet and the bloke is fantastic but this one is useless and i know im not the only one to think so. Could this be a sprain/ trapped muscle or something or likely to be a break she isnt yelping which is what is worrying us so not sure if she is in pain all the time
