| Lot's of bowel movements....could it be the food or how much she's eating???? My Lily is almost 8 months and weighs about 5lbs. She has lot's of bowel movements , like 5-6 times a day! I'm free feeding her Royal Canine for small dogs...and she'll eat my other dog's food (a s**tz tzu) Science Diet, at times. Is it how much I'm feeding her or should I change her dry food? I'm thinking she's pooing too frequently. If I change what do you suggest and if I have to feed her at certain times...how much. My s**tz tzu doesn't poo that much...Just Lily! Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated!

| My 8 month old boy, goes more often than my 1 1/2 yr. old female...I think they just go more, when they're younger...I think I might be feeding the younger one, more than he needs, but he's such a little piglet, and has me convinced, because he's a growing boy, that I must feed him this much, for now ...I feed raw, but I think it's the vege/fruit treats that I give them, that keeps them "moving" lol...Sounds like your baby might be getting more than she needs, since she's after your other one's food...Have you tried not free feeding, and then maybe she'll go bigger, after two meals, instead of nibbling all day? |

| Oh, I forgot...Not sure, so look on the bag, but I think a 5 lb. pup should get about 1/4 cup twice a day...maybe moisten it a little w/water or yogurt, to make it more tasty, and she'll eat it all at one time...That way, if her tummy is full, she may "go" all at one time... |

| Quality of dog food (fillers) can make them poop more. Less filler less poop The Dog Food Project - How does your Dog Food Brand compare?

| probably high fiber or high grain food - can you post ingredients? you will notice a huge difference in a dog that eats raw from one with high grains. When i fed raw they had small white powdery poops it was nice lollll but it made me too nervous. My demi is on a high grain diet and she has humongous poops but i feed twice a day and she poops twice a day after eating. My two yorks are on a hydrolized diet and they have smaller poops BUT when they eat my maltese poop which we try to avoid but they are fast then they have huge poops. She is on newman's own organic which is high in grains |

| Hmmm either she's still young or you feed her too much. Sugar only poo twice a day, but recent months I fed her more and she poo 4-5 times a day, so now I reduced accordingly. Sugar is 13 months now
