| dermodex mange in a yorkie from breeder I received my yorkie from a breeder in Nov. Since then she has had a wide range of problems from hypogylcemia 3 days after getting her and I was doing what the breeder told me. I think she left out that she was also eating soft food and not just hard. I almost lost her. She aslso has had a sneeze from day one though she could have alleriges since whe live in Louisiana. But she also has dermodex (sp?) mange on her chin and been on medicine (Ivermectin) for about 5 weeks. Now she has a bald spot on her side and scratches alot. In brushing her and combing her I find minut white flakes. She goes to the vet wed but i wonder if she has dog lice. I thought that I may not have gotten all her shampoo out. I have no other pets in the house so I'm at aloss how she could have that any encouraging help. |

I would recommend maybe seeing one with this - some are using promeris for demodex - demodex does affect puppies as it is from the mama dog and it is a sign of a poor immune system where the mites take over - here is some info on it and so sorry you are going through this and welcome to yt Demodicosis (Red Mange) in Dogs Red, Puppy, & Follicular Mange (Demodectic, Demodex) in Dogs Demodectic Mange & the Immune System in Dogs my friend is using benzoyl peroxide shampoo in her demodex dog are you shampooing with that? | and since your dog is on ivermectin PLEASE NEVER LET THEM MIX IVERMECTIN WITH KETOCONAZOLE SHAMPOO OR DRUG - it is an antifungal drug and those two combined together cause ivermectin toxicity it happened to my friends yorkie so i warn anyone with a dog on ivermectin of that mixture so check ingredients of any shampoo from vet |
