| Does anyone else feed RAW or BARF diet? My minpin has allergies and I cooked for about 5 yrs for her. With our new addition we have decided to do a raw diet in hopes of feeding them healthier and helping my older girls allergies. We went to a natural health food store and talked to a nutritionist there and we have brought home some all organic (no chemicals or drugs) premade patties to try. We simply cut them in half and half again and then feed the girls half in morning and half at night. The ones we are trying the protein base is turkey ..and it has fruits and veggies added. I can feed them more fresh organic veggies and fruits as well. Now what I am wondering is ..if anyone else feeds raw..how to they prepare the food and how much do they feed?? I am a newbie to this but I want to do the best I can for them. I also purchased some flossies (beef tendon) and some ground dried liver that I can sprinkle on thier food. Ohh and some more dried salmon treats, and dried turkey treats(you just give them little bits ..to use a training aid) Any help or advise would be appreciated...a lot! |
