| ![]() I have a 1 year old yorkie weighing about 2.5 pounds. I'm in Chicago. She needs teeth removed. I understand its a $500 plus operation if not a lot more where I go. What are the alternative places to go. Not everyone can afford $500-$1000 every time there is an issue. I had a simple $500 emergency vet issue last month. That said she is beautiful. She is kind. She loves people and dogs. I never expected her to be so small but she is just fine. (Other than she can't get on the couch like the other dog). Please help - thanks so much. ![]() |

Make sure whoever you choose you trust with your fur baby .Sometimes the cost is worth what the vet is ,if that makes sense .

| ![]() Find if there's local Humane society animal clinic. They are much cheaper(about half the price of regular vet visit). You just need to call them 2weeks prior for appointment.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Has she been spayed? Most people get teeth pulled done during spay/neuter and it's cheaper than what you are paying. The big cost is for anesthesia and blood work, the actual pulling of teeth is 5-10 dollars each. I've read several threads about tines getting pregnant by a male dog that was thought to be still a puppy, and sometimes it happens when they are old, which is dangerous no matter what their size. Don't forget a dog can get pregnant all her life, so spaying now can save her life.

| ![]() I just rescued a 2 year old boy he is going in tomorrow to get fixed and a dental he needs a few teeth pulled the est on the low end is 990.00 You can probably call around your area and get it a little cheaper but they dont usually push fluids and its in more of a clinic type place this saves some money but to me its just not worth it. Myabe you have a vet school around that would be cheaper that you could call. Vet schools arent always cheaper but they might be for a dental. |

| ![]() Sophie was spayed, teeth cleaned, lots of baby teeth pulled, with iv and bloodwork. Cost less than $500.00. Oh yeah also with antibiotics and pain meds.

| ![]() I had pre-blood work with some extra blood testing due to Lucy's issues; two baby teeth removed; and a spay. It was about $350 all together.
