Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | what to do if you think your yorkie has a cold? hey guys, tonight after coming back from a trip, I noticed Lewie kept sneezing. Sometimes 5 in a row, sometimes 3 in a row every so often. It rained here a couple days ago, but my husband said they were kept dry. Sometimes they get rained on when they play outside (only bc in Hawaii our weather is sooo weird, it rains for like 1 minute then stops). But usually when that happens, I immediately put them inside, dry their hairs and make sure they are warm. I think Lewie might have a cold. Any recommendations or remedies that you might have to offer? I never had a dog with a cold before. THanks!!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | He's probably trying to get something out of his nose, like a dust bunnie or something else. If the sneezing continues, a vet should look at his nose .

YorkieTalk Newbie! | I think this is the case with my baby. She is sneezing every so often and with that she is laying around more often and when she lays on my lap her body temperature is noticeably higher. I was wondering if there was something I could do in the meantime to help her at least until I can get her to the vet later this week. |

| Advice It may be happening due to cold or your yorkie might have got something inside the nose like dust etc.I think if you are not getting any proper result by trying domestic treatment then you must take your yorkie to a pet doctor. |

| Cold symptoms should never be ignored in young pups, older pups, or smaller pups. A cold can quickly turn into pneumonia, which can be fatal in dogs. If your pup has a fever, I would get him/her to the vet asap. Yorkies can go downhill very fast, and pneumonia is not to be played with.

| I agree with KJC. You should get Lewie to the vet asap. Fever has me worried. Let us know how Lewie is doing. |
