| ![]() Hello and happy new year everyone! For anyone that live in Florida or anywhere else with the same climate as The Bahamas; PLEASE HELP ME! For the last 5-6 years we had our yorkie, we never found ticks on him. Last year however, around June we notced that Diallo (our yorkie) would have a few ticks on him every other day or so. We were using frontline on him at the time. Since it appear as if the frontline was not working any more, I decided to put him on K9 advantix. The Advintix worked for a few months then around November we noticed he had ticks on him again. We would find anywhere from 1-5 ticks on him. These ticks would be small - medium in size. I decided to keep these ticks after we took them off to see if they would die but they didn't. When December rolled around, we started to find ticks in our bed! ![]() When I saw this I completely bombed our place with a fogger and I also sprayed our base boards, bed and carpet in the room with Raid tick spray. I cut Diallo's short. Along with his regular K9 Advantix I also sprayed him with Vet Kem's Ovitrol plus flee, tick and bot spray. We also threw away some sheets/bedding that we thaught may have the ticks. We also put garlic in his water. After doing all this, we did not find any ticks for a few days. Yesturday we found a tick on Diallo. Then today we found a tick on top of the bed and we also found one under the dam sheets. I do not know what else to do. Can someone please help me out! I am afraid that we will get bitten and get some kind of disease from these ticks. Not to mention, its just nasty to think that there are ticks in my bed! Some one, plese advise me what to do. Thank you. |
