Help!!! Zoe has never had fleas or worms until recently! I have been combating fleas for about 3 weeks and believe I finally have that under control but today I noticed she has worms!!!! I will take her tovet tomorrow but wanted 2 know what I can give her today. I feel bad for her as I didn't realize this is a result of fleas since in 5 years I haven't had to deal with any problems. I'm really scared for my baby! I've read as many posts as I can find but most are for puppies not adult Yorkies.

They can get worms from just injecting one flea. Give some canned pumpkin if diahrea develops but youll have to get worming meds from the vet. Be sure to take a stool sample in

I am in the same boat never have ever seen a flea before but we had an outing and noticed the next day when petting used flea stuff and now came home from new years eve and took baby out and saw worms

! I am freaking out and of course all the area vets are not in till Saturday and our vet till Monday!

We have never had this problem before!!!

I called emergency vet but they said it is not an emergency but she will have a see a vet! (well duhhh! thats why i was calling them in the first place at 3am!)should i just to wait to see our vet like the emergency clinic said? Do you think this is a safe option. she is eating and drinking and running around fine.

Your baby will be fine until Monday, the vet will give him/her a shot or some pills. If you have more than one dog, you had better be looking at all of their poo.

I was able to find a local Banfield Pet hospital that was open and able to squeeze her in turns out it was tape worm.... Totally gross yes i agree! they gave my poor baby a shot and 5 days of Panacur and flea prevention and heartworm prevention.

They said she got it from a flea... Ugh!! Never had any fleas before let alone worms.... we have pin pointed that they could have got the flea from their grooming appointment according to the vet and we are checking our other dogs so far fingers crossed I don't see anything.... but her mom still likes to groom her... so on Monday even though I don't see anything I will take in a fecal sample to our regular vet.

and a check up in two weeks and also a 4 week check up
