| Milo is throwing up!!!!! Hi I just went to get Milo to take him for a walk only to find out he threw up 4 times up stairs. I do not think he got into anything because there really is not anything to get into up there. He went downstairs and just gave me the sad face on the floor we went out and he peed but he really did not want to walk much. We came back in and he drank a bunch of water but when I tried to give him cottage cheese (his favorite) he refused. I also keep some pumpkin Ice cubes in the freezer for emergencies and he did not show any interest in that either. He was shaking a bit also. I just do not know what to do. He is 4 years old and 7lbs, should I just watch and wait before calling the Vet and how long do I wait? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you so much...... |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry he is sick. You may want to get him into your vet before the weekend so if he doesn't improve you aren't stuck going to the ER. Hope Milo is feeling better soon.

| I would wait it out alittle bit. Don't give him food because if his stomach is upset that's the last thing he needs to do is eat. Be sure water is available so he dosen't get dehydrated. Watch him. Did he poop ok? Sometimes they just pick up something that put's them under the weather from time to time. Is his nose warm? I wouldn't be surprised if it is. Let him rest and just keep a watchful eye. If he continues to vomit I would call the vet before he closes tonight. I hope he feels better soon. Buddy has vomitted several times, some time ago but them was fine as the day went on. It passsed as fast as it appeared. Always on the weekends, just like when the kids got sick. Hope he's better soon. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Do you have pedialyte? it will help settle his tummy, i would hold any foods and just give him the pedialyte for at least 4 hours if he vomits that and can't hold nothing down time to take him to the vet. hugs, Carmen in nj |

| Thank you so much for the replies after I made the post he threw up 2 more time so I called the Vet (thankfully they are right down the street) They told me to bring him in, he has a temp of 102.9 so they gave him a shot of anti nausea medicine, and drew some blood so we will have the results in the morning they gave me a can of ID for him. She wants to wait to give me any meds until the blood work comes back. I called all the doggies he has been in contact with the last 48 hours just to let them know to watch for signs. He was at doggie day care yesterday and the day before so I called there as well and they told me that they had a dog this morning that was throwing up, I am hoping that it is just a little bug something viral and they asked that I call them in the AM after the vet calls me. Even the vet said he could come in contact with what appears to be a healthy dog who is a carrier of something. So thats what I am going for , just a simple virus that will run its corse and cause no harm. |

| Ok so we have been home for some time and he did throw up a little bit how long before the anti nausea meds kick in 100 percent. He also sounds like he is making strange noises. He has had some water but is showing no interest in the ID food the vet gave us. I know I worry a lot, but he is my baby |

| Give him pedialyte (the non flavored kind that you give babies) I use a dropper when I give it to my babies so I can see how much they drink. I just give mine as much as they will take. That way he won't get dehydrated because then you have a whole new (and EXPENSIVE) problem. Other than that I would give him a little bit and watch him to see if he gets better. Mine both have sensitive tummies and I feel like they throw up for no good reason sometimes. I am sure he will be fine FEEL BETTER MILO! |

| Hopefully good news, he moved while I was out from one couch to the other so he could look out the window. I can't tell you how happy I was to see his little face when I pulled up from the store. I got the pedialite and put it in his water bowl and he showed little interest but I am hoping that is going to change. They did not have nutrical at the store I went to so I will continue to try the food, pumpkin and cottage cheese to hopefully get one of them to work. |
