YT Addict | Just nervous about spay surgery Just feeling a bit nervous about her spay surgery. I went to look at e-collars today and the cloth ones are like $20. I just don't have that extra after the vet bill. The plastic ones are $7.99 and they seem difficult to get on and off while the cloth one is just velcro. I wish it wasn't more expensive for convenience. How long do I need to leave the e-collar on? Until the stitches or staples come out?

| You have some great questions here... I, too, will be interested in the answers. I am nervous too, is normal I am told. My thoughts are with you.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am always nervous when one of mine has to go in for spaying but they do just fine. I try and keep busy by doing something I like (shopping) and my vet calls me as soon as they are out of surgery and then again when they are fully awake. I didn't use the e collar on mine instead. I bought the baby onsies at Walmart for 2.00 and put them on and they worked great and they seemed to like the softness of them. None of mine had any changes in their personalities afterwards. I will keep your babies in my prayers for a safe procedure.
