Diarrhea, worms? Yoda sorta sick! Yoda is sort of sick! He's been biting his paws and trying to bite his butt the past few days! He had a horrible case of diarrhea last night. He's now resting, but nothing new is in his diet, nor anything else out of the ordinary. He's gonna go to the vet in about an hour. I just wonder if he had worms or something... We've seen him bite his paws on occassion, but never has he tried to bite his butt! Well, I hope he'll be all okay, he's been resting the past few hours... We're worry-wart parents. :P

Well, apparently, Yoda caught a parasite somewhere (from either drinking bad water on a walk or eating grass we think) and that's why he had the diarrhea. Also, he had flea bites and that's what he was trying to scratch. The doc gave him some steroids (muscle Yorkie Yoda coming soon!) and some medication for the parasite (though that has probably passed through his system by now). So, just be careful out there if your Yorkie drinks from yucky puddles of water! And be careful of grass as well! He seems fine now, full of energy and quite the appetite!

| GOOD JOB, Fasteddie!!! Nipped that nasty parasite in the bud!! We make it a practice when we go home to visit to take Toto by and let Dr. Lucy give her a once over [stool sample and all]. We are constantly being "hounded" for being "over protective" but you just don't know what's out there!! Especially in public places such as parks, etc. ... we don't know what they use to fertilize or spray for insects .... we just know that they do! I am so happy that he's going to be OK!!

He's great, all back to normal on Saturday and today! Thanks for your support. Cute little bugger appreciates it! He was very, very tired on Friday (he pretty much didn't sleep all night with his diarrhea and stomach bothering him), but after his long rest, he's been doing awesome! Full of energy and liveliness!

Glad to hear Yoda is feeling better! Is he back to making you feel guilty for not playing? That's when you know he's back to normal!

Yes! As always, giving us sad looks of despair when we don't play with him! He's been quite 'clingy' the past few days, always preferring to sleep right next to us, etc... Such a relief!
