| found a bump part 2 So I just got home from taking Sophie to the vet. He did a needle biopsy on her bump and we waited there for the test results to come back. He said that he found bacteria in the fluid and sent us home with an anti-biotic and said that if the bump didn't go away within 10 days we were to come back and he would have to do surgery to remove it. He did say that he didn't think it was cancerous, but wouldn't give a definite answer until it either disappears or is surgically removed. Over all I am feeling pretty hopeful as the bump seemed to go down once he took some fluid out of it. I ask everyone to pray that the bump goes away with anti-biotic treatment. And thanks for being such a great group As always, Zelah and Sophie |

| I haven't read part 1 (can you post the link?), but where is the bump? Bc Princess has a bump by her rear leg area where they give rabies shots. It's worrying me bc it hasn't gone away & our vet (she didn't administer the shots) didn't seem too concerned & it doesn't seem to bother Princess. Hope your baby girl feels better soon.

| We found a bump too! On my new puppy she had shot done exactly a week ago today and just found a bump under her skin yesterday. We rusher her to the vet and they said it looks like a delayed allergic reaction. and just to put moist heat compress and rub it... Went home and found this web site New Puppy VACCINE REACTION There is a less than 5% chance that your puppy may have an allergic reaction to something in the vaccines. One type of reaction is the "flat puppy syndrome". This is where your puppy collapses, usually within 5-15 minutes of the injection. This type of reaction is considered an emergency however, it rarely occurs. The more common type of reaction (still less than 5% of the time) is where the eyes, lips, nose, and face swell up, or he gets lumps/hives all over his body. This can happen within 15-30 minutes, 2-3 hours, or 6-8 hours later. Treatment for this involves an injection from the veterinarian or the administration of oral benadryl. A third type of reaction is a delayed reaction where the pet gets a lump under the skin where the injection was administered. This will come up 1-3 weeks from the time of vaccination and usually goes away within 1-2 weeks. Because the vaccines will change each visit during the puppy series, look for these allergic reactions each time your puppy is vaccinated.

| It's never easy on parents when the wee ones are sick, in pain or having questionable bumps. Hopefully all goes well and it isn't too serious. I'll say a little prayer for you baby.
