| Are flea shampoos safe for yorkies? I found a flea on Louis the other day, and ever since then every time I scratch his back he goes crazy. I can't find anymore fleas, but the way he is itching makes me think he has more. Is it alright to use flea shampoo on him? If not, what safe product can I use? Thanks |

| I wouldnt use flea/tick shampoo on a puppy younger than 12 months old.....you can get any brand, but just don't use too much or get it in their eyes....if you use dawn dish soap and dilute it, that helps kill off fleas---i would call your vet if your that concerned! I do not trust HARTZ products as in flea/tick topical things or collars, ive seen them kill dogs and cats, but i will use their shampoo.... Good luck.....

| Dont use anything Hartz. To be honest I dont trust any of the flea shampoos at the pet stores because Ive read of problems with alot of them. I would get a flea preventative from the vet

| I agree about not using Hartz but if you don't find more fleas I would not use flea shampoo for your weekly bath.
