| Eye boogers on Innova? I recently switched my babies from Nutro Ultra to Innova puppy. Nick - 10 months - seems to be getting these huge eye boogers since he's been on Innova. I have heard Wellness does this but was wondering if anyone else noticed this same problem with Innova? |

| Odd- I never had that problem. Jackson had major terrible eye boogers eating Wellness and when I switched to Innova, they went away mostly. Now he's eating Nature's Variety Instinct (it's grain free) and VERY few eye boogers. I only clean his eyes out once a week, sometimes two. He loves the food too and is a very picky eater

| Nick is very picky, too. I sampled several brands before choosing Innova. Maybe I just need to give it a little longer to see if they go away. I've also heard apple cidar vinegar helps. I reckon I'll try that, too... |

| When Jimi was on Innova his eye boogers were horrible too. I had to clean them like twice every day. I recently switched him to Nature's Variety Raw diet, and he gets Instinct kibble on the side, and his eyes are much better since

| I tried raw...didnt' work for us. We had bad poop problems - diarrhea. Innova is also making his poop a little harder than I think it should be. I went to Petco to get some canned food to help him get more water. I got a can of Halo Chicken Stew stuff...he wouldn't touch it!! It looked like real food - literally like real stew. He just sniffed and walked away. My 9 week old puppy found it and went wild. I took it away and she cried for it. So, she got a treat and Nick will still have hard poop. Is feeding dogs really supposed to be this complicated?? |

| with how picky yorkies can be.. sometimes yes lol How long did you try the raw diet? Sometimes when you first switch over to a new food they might get diarrhea until they adjust to it. (usually doesn't happen with raw, mostly just kibble but could be the case if your pup is sensitive.)

| I only tried raw for 2 days. Poor Daisy's belly just didn't like it. She carried chunks of the meat to her bed, too. So I had to wash it two days in a row. Plus the medallions smelled funny... |

| When Prince (9 months, 4.5 pounds) was on Innova Puppy he had bad eye boogers too. If I cleaned his face on Monday by Wednesday it looked as it I hadn't cleaned him in days. He is now eating Taste of the Wild and we use filtered water. The boogers are a lot less and easier to clean. |

| Sydney's groomer said to clean the eyes with a cotton swabs dipped in contact solution. She said a couple of drops in her eyes will help prevent gunky eyes. I haven't tried this yet because I was wondering if anyone else does this, too. |

| Actually, when Apple was on Innova, we didn't have near the eye gunk we have now on raw...And I thought it would be even more improved going on raw...But I also thought maybe it's just because she's getting older and this is what happens as they get older...No way am I taking her off the raw, so I guess I'll just deal w/the eye gunk...I am anxiously awaiting someones answer to the previous post.... |

| He LOVES the Turkey & Duck flavor. He's been eating the Rabbit flavor for about a week too and he loves that one too but not as much as turkey and duck

| Hi, I have always had the eye problem no matter what food he was on. I started giving him bottled water and now he has no eye boogers. |
