Tail Down & Spinning??? OK this is a new one for me! Simon has his tail tucked between his legs and is running a short distance, spinning a few times, and curling up in a little ball? He has also stopped eating breakfast but makes up for it with dinner and is not vomitting or having diarhhea. Do you think he might just have gas and it is scaring him? Now he is playing ball and acting fine. Anyone else's Yorkie do this? He is 2 years old now!

I was thinking about calling the vet. Simon is not doing it anymore, ate lunch and is playing ball. It was the funniest thing to watch though, very odd!

| Gus has done this a few times. The first time he did it he ran and ran around and around, we thought he wanted to play but then he just stoped and pooed on the floor. I think he does this when he gets an upset tummy and can't hold it. So when he does this we take him out and sure enough he run to the grass as fast as he can and goes.

Mine are always doing that. Usually they do have some leftover poop on their buts, and they are trying to rub it off. I am always washing their butts. and then I put anti-itch powder on there. But they still do it. Oh well. They are still cute and worth any trouble it takes.

He may need his anal glands to be expressed. If he begins to suddenly notive his rear and try to chew beneath his tail, this is a sign. Absessed anal glands are a common problem with toy breeds, and Chewy has had to have them expressed once. It's so common that many groomers offer this service. Here's some material on the subject... http://www.barkbytes.com/medical/med0029.htm Enjoy the delightful illustration, lol...
