| Anyone use Vectra? My vet recently started carrying Vectra for ticks and flea prevention. I have heard that there have been deaths caused by an ingredient in this product. Does anyone have any info on this? I used to use Frontline Top Spot because that was what he sold before it was widely available in the stores.

| It is a topical treatment like Frontline, only I think it's stronger.

| I use Vectra - it is a topical, like Frontline Plus. The vet said that "they" think fleas are developing a tolerance for Frontline so it is becoming not as effective. It sure wasn't controlling the fleas on my dogs. Vectra has so far. I split the dosage between my two. Before I got Moses, I put the full dose on Isabel and it made her sick for a day. So I always split it. It has not bothered them and you don't have to wait a couple days before or after a bath in order to apply it like you do Frontline. Cost is comparable also. |
