| Does anybody has pet insurance? Because it seems like a good idea. For ex, I spent $224.00 last Wednesday in just one visit. $125 teeth extraction $49.99 Microchip $50 vet consultation (I had some things I wanted the vet to check) It would be nice to have an insurance plan to pay some of it. I was checking a pet insurance in www.fetchdog.com any ideas?

| Pet Insurance My quote is 45.00 per month. Huggy is already neutered, but my vet said that Yorkies should have their teeth cleaned yearly. I am also concerned about how little he is and even with me watching him, puppy proofing our house, etc., what else could happen. Huggy is my 1st little dog and 1st Yorkie. Do the majority of you feel this price is worth it and have insurance? |

| I have Petplan, but only pay just under $18 a month for accident and illness...It doesn't cover teeth or spay, but gives me peace of mind, in case something happens...Petplan is one of the few that will cover pre-disposed issues pertinent to specific breeds, as long as they don't have them before they are insured...Things such as luxating pattella, liver shunt, collapsed trachea, hip dysplasia, pancreitis, and whatever things happen "after" they are insured for 30 days...If you decide to use them, would you consider PM'ing me for my policy # so I can get a referral fee to buy Apple something new lolol.... |

| I have Petplan with 100.00 Deductable and 80 percent reimbursement. They pay for all genetic and hereditary problems, and surgery if requited. They have been voted A plus. The only reason I didn't go with VPI is I checked BBB. Petplan had 3 against them but all 3 were resolved whereas VPI has 147 against them. Unless those figures have since changed. They do not cover a spay or teeth cleaning. They do cover extractions. I pay 22.00 a month Hope this helps

But VPI has a benefit schedule and they don't extract teeth nor cover heridetary (sp) or genetic problems. Petplan covers all that and they don't have a benefit schedule. Basically, whatever it costs, it's gonna cost and they pay it. Not bad for 22 a month. I have the Silver plan for 22. They have a lower plan and a Gold plan. But as I said, they don't cover cleaning teeth or spay.
