| Best Vitamin? Hi! I have a 13 pound yorkie, Gracie, and a 3 1/2 pounder, Billy. They keep having digestive problems and the vet can find nothing wrong with them. I have done a lot of research on commercial dog food and I am now convinced their food is making them sick. Two days ago I started preparing their food myself using chicken, rice, vegetables, apples, etc. They ALREADY have more energy, their diarrhea is gone, they seem so much healthier and happier after just two days(and they LOVE their new menu )! I will never give them commercial food again. My question to any of you that may be able to help, is what is the best vitamin(s)? I want to make sure they're getting all of their nutritional needs met. There are so many vitamins out there, and I really have no idea what would be best to give them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! God Bless Diane |

| It does sound like it could be food allergies. I highly recommend a consultation with Susan Davis. A probiotic would be a great thing to give them if they have been having intestinal issues, but there may be other supplements recommended as well. Susan has done wonders for many of our furkids here and she has many wonderful supplements as well. Here is her information.... Pet Health Pet Nutritionist Holistic Pet

You absolutely need to get a diet formulated by a nutritionist or veterinarian asap. I totally support homecooking, but doing so without proper nutrients and supplements can be very unhealthy. It is imperative to get the calcium-phosphorus ratio right or serious complications can occur. Please consult with a nutritionist- Susan Davis is wonderful and the consultation fee is totally worth it.
