| Comfortis Users: Question! If this is in the wrong spot, please move it. I've been giving Lilly Comfortis for about 6 months - a year now. It's the smallest dose, the pink and she weighs between 8 - 9 lbs. I always thought at our old vet that they told us if she vomits within 30 mins of giving it to call them and I would have to re-dose her. Anyway. I waited until she ate, gave her the pill at about 6:45 tonight. It's now 9:00. She vomited about 10 minutes ago, around 8:50, (I guess she just got too worked up, I have no idea). There were pieces of food in it and the last time she ate was right before her pill. Does this mean that she most likely vomited the pill up too? Or would it have absorbed already? I'm most likely going to call the vet in the morning and check to make sure but I wanted to know if any of you knew too.

| Comfortis question My 7# guy is also on comfortis, but I do not have the answer to your question. My best advice is to contact your vet. |

| I would say that is has been absorbed by now. My mom just had to take her boston terrier to the vet because she got ahold of some meds and they absorbed in 20 minutes. My guess (and only a guess) is that it was.

| I gave Prince Comfortis once, and he also threw it up about 15 minutes after taking it. He acted very sick and lethargic after vomitting. His vet said since I didn't see the pill in his vomit, that it was "probably" absorbed. The probably part bothered me. I now use Revolution which is a topical heartworm preventative. So far I'm happy with it. His only reaction is running around trying to rub it off.

| We used comfortis on my chi and loved it! She took it like a champ and we never saw a flea on her! I don't know what I am going to do for Roxy yet, right now I just use Apple Cider Vingegar and I keep her inside...its working so far.

| Well, I called the vet yesterday... they really weren't of much help. They just said she should be fine but if we have a problem with fleas then to come back and get another pill. Kind of pisses me off. I guess if I want a more straight forward answer I could call the company but I'd say she's fine... my boyfriend went through her puke and didn't see the pill. Thanks everyone for your replies!
