Kibble question...please help I just posted a question about an hour ago about halo kibble among others that I wanted to try with my Pixie. She has gotten to the point where she is not showing any interest in her holistic select small breed and puppy formula kibble. So, I went and got a few sample packs of kibble. Halo puppy, Fromm puppy gold, Innova puppy and wellness. I put a couple of each kibble in a bowl and she went crazy for the Innova puppy. She seemed to also like the Fromm puppy gold too. I tested her holistic select with a few kibble of Innova and she just picked the Innova out. How much should I let her eat? I don't want her to get an upset tummy. I also want to know about canned food. I mix wellness puppy with merriks puppy plate and I was wondering if it is okay to switch up merriks flavors. Will it upset her tummy? Im sure that all the flavors are for all life stages so I thought switching it up may be good so that Pixie will not get bored. She is 11 wks old and is about 2.4lbs. I feed her canned 3x a day about 1 heaping tsp. and kibble if she touches it. As u can see from above she has not really touched it other than the Innova puppy today. Any info or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Torontonian I am in London I woudln't give her any more than what the bag suggests- since you are switching from a quality food to another quality food- her tummy shouldn't have too hard of a time adjusting. It should be fine to switch between Merricks flavours.

Stopped Eating His Kibble Food While I work for the company the reason we make a variety of formulas is that dogs do come off their food on ocassion. You hear that about most brands on ocassion. It might help if you tried another variety like the Holistic Select Chicken Meal & Rice or the Holistic Select Duck Meal and Oatmeal. A little Holsitic Select canned over the top may help. Feel free to email me direct. This would apply to any brand anyone is feeding.

innova is a very good food. I use that for mine and they love it. I always free feed, what they recommend on the bags is just a recommendation. Some pups need more than others. I like having it down all the time. They never sit and just eat a meal, they grab little kibbles all day

Update.....Pixie ate great last night!!! Picked out all the Innova from the Holistic select. This morning she did okay with her wet food....I had to help her along (hand feed until she was interested with the food). At the puppy-sitter she ate very little kibble and didn't touch her lunch(wet food). At 3:30 and 5 I tried wet again and she was not interested at all! I free feed kibble and she has also not touched that!!! I'm so frustrated!!!! Don't know what to do! HELP!!!

Pixie will be 12 wks on sat. Last visit to vet at 10 wks she was 2.2 lbs. I would say that she is still gaining so that is good! She eats about a heaping tsp of wet food 3 times a day and I free feed kibble. I would say she eats(when she does), a half of a quarter of a cup a day.

I put Fromm, Holistic Select and Halo in with the Innova and guess what?......Pixie went crazy for the Fromm!! I guess she just cant make up her mind on what food she want to eat. I hope all this back and forth between the different brands is not gonna upset her tummy. So far it has not caused any problems....fingers crossed.
